Knee wall

A low wall added on the mezzanine. It raises the roof and increases the usable area of the mezzanine or attic.

When a holiday cabin is equipped with a mezzanine, the roof slopes rest directly on the ground-floor walls, which limits vertical clearance. Usually you can’t move around upright, and even if you can, you must be careful to avoid collisions with roof trusses. A knee wall that provides an extra 50 cm or 100 cm of headroom solves this. An additional benefit of a knee wall is the ability to place low furniture directly next to it, which isn’t possible with a traditional mezzanine. For fuller use of the extra space, we encourage considering the service of a full attic to increase the mezzanine’s floor area.

The knee wall is available for products in the category "holiday cabins up to 35 m2 on order" equipped with a mezzanine. Cabins of the types "holiday cabins with an attic" and "turnkey" already include a knee wall in the standard equipment.
