It’s understandable that before such a large investment as purchasing a holiday cabin, most people have additional questions. Below we’ve gathered the ones we receive most often as a cabin manufacturer.

How much does a standard holiday cabin cost?

This is the most common question about our holiday cabins, and at the same time one of the trickiest, because every wooden cabin is unique. However, when it comes to standard holiday cabins up to 35 m² in a shell condition, prices start at around PLN 20,000.

Are there any additional costs associated with buying a cabin?

Everything included in the price of a wooden holiday cabin is in the project card of the specific design. Our offer is fully transparent—there are no hidden costs that a investor might learn about during construction or after signing the contract. Of course, every build involves some expenses, such as connecting utilities, foundations, or finishing. We encourage contacting our company at every stage of the order so we can highlight these matters and answer any questions in time.

Can modifications be made to holiday cabins?

When selecting a particular wooden holiday cabin, the product card contains a ready-made quote for popular upgrades, such as insulation or adding a woodshed. These are, however, our starting proposals based on working with hundreds of investors—just get in touch with us to obtain a quote for additional, even unconventional conveniences.

What customization options exist for the wooden cabin project?

Unlike typical ready-made sellers, as a holiday cabin manufacturer we can insert additional interior walls into the building frame, create a large terrace, or add a mezzanine to the design. The client obviously has influence over the color scheme and, to a large extent, also over materials used for roofing and flooring. We are happy to take on personalized ideas for wooden holiday cabins, which provides variety and a challenge for our company.

Can holiday cabins be adapted for seniors or people with disabilities?

We strive to ensure every wooden holiday cabin offers comfortable recreation for everyone, including those with mobility challenges. Installing ramps, wider doors, or broader stairs is possible in most designs. We can also fit switches that make turning lights on and off easier. Additionally, there is an option to enlarge the bathroom space to make it comfortable for disabled users. Please contact us to discuss details and costs for a specific project.

Can changes be made to the cabin design after construction has started?

We aim to agree on all client recommendations before signing the contract. Some solutions we propose ourselves, drawing on experience and preferences of other customers. Changes can be made until the project reaches the engineer, who prepares construction drawings and orders the appropriate beam, window, and door sections and joints. This takes place about 45 days before planned assembly.

How long does it take to build a holiday cabin and what is the lead time?

The construction process of a wooden holiday cabin is relatively quick, but the lead time should include the time needed to obtain a building permit or notification. This may be from 1 to 3 months, and in less favorable lot layouts – up to 6 months. The lead time can also be affected by the number of orders at a given time, so it’s worth planning ahead and not delaying the decision until the last moment. Usually we complete orders for these structures within 2 to 6 months.

Do holiday cabins require notification or building permits?

Ready wooden holiday cabins, like brick houses, require notification or a building permit, and it depends on the land use. Under 2022 regulations, cabins that only require notification may be up to 70 m², with a 35 m² holiday cabin allowed to have a mezzanine but not a full attic. For a full attic a building project is required. Importantly, all-year homes up to 70 m² also must be built based on a building project, even if they are subject to a notification procedure.

Height restrictions are defined by a Local Spatial Development Plan (MPZP) or building conditions. In contrast, within a Family Garden Plots (ROD), the maximum built area is 35 m² and the maximum height of the house is 5 m.

How to notify and legalize the cabin on the plot?

To notify a wooden holiday cabin up to 35 m² you need proof of ownership or lease, a plan for design purposes, and building conditions for the plot or an excerpt from the local spatial plan. We offer support and guidance on these issues to facilitate the entire process for our clients.

What requirements must the plot meet to place a holiday cabin on it?

First of all, the plot must be covered by a Local Spatial Development Plan (MPZP) or building conditions proving that holiday cabins can be erected there. Aside from these formal requirements, there aren’t many restrictions on appearance or plot location. Of course, if the plot has unusually difficult or challenging soil (e.g., flood-prone areas), it’s worth carefully considering the cabin placement and foundation type.

For us to work, the plot should also provide easy access for a small truck the size of a garbage truck. Water, sewage, or electricity connections are not required – it’s the investor’s decision whether to have them on the plot. It’s also important that the installation area, if it’s not a foundation, be leveled and prepared to speed up the building process.

Is transport and assembly included in the cabin price?

For ready-made wooden holiday cabins whose names start with CRA, CRP, CRK, we offer free transport and assembly across Poland. For cabins in a shell condition whose names start with male first names, transport and assembly costs are calculated individually. The price depends on the distance to the assembly site and chosen additional options, but the total of these services usually does not exceed 20% of the order value.

Are holiday cabins furnished or do they require additional investments?

Each wooden holiday cabin is prepared according to the standard set when ordering. Shell condition (SC) is adapted for later insulation and installation distribution. Ready leisure cabins have wooden interior and roof finishes with carpentry, installed electrical system including switches, sockets and distribution, and plumbing installation (without fittings). Our holiday cabins, however, do not come with furniture. As with most developer-sold flats or houses, the investor must account for additional interior finishing and kitchen or bathroom cabinetry installation.

How long has Drewnolandia been in the market?

We began with garden architecture structures (gazebos, woodsheds, tool sheds) but quickly specialized in building recreational and all-year homes. Are holiday cabins covered by a warranty?

We provide a 15-year warranty on the building structure and 30 years on the remaining equipment. There is an option to extend the equipment warranty for free up to 4 years. This is possible thanks to strict control over the wooden building framework used for our cabins. However, regular repainting and periodic roof/gutter maintenance are necessary to ensure proper water drainage and prevent blockages.

Can I see a sample cabin before ordering?

Of course, we have our own showroom located at our sales office in Wancerzów near Częstochowa. The showroom is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:00. During the visit you can also place an order and sign a contract.

Is it possible to buy holiday cabins on installments?

Our company offers assistance in purchasing a holiday cabin on installments. We also help in obtaining a mortgage for building a home, providing support at every stage of the loan process. Mortgage options apply to cabins up to 70 m² – both all-year and holiday cabins. There is also an option to combine personal funds with a financing loan to partially cover the purchase.
