Holiday cabins up to 70 m², permit-free (weathertight shell)
- Wooden holiday cabins up to 70 m2 will soon be eligible for construction on notification! In Drewnolandia we can reach an even larger audience of people who dream of their own sanctuary away from urban neighborhoods.

70 m2 wooden houses with simple notification
Until now, only buildings with a floor area of no more than 35 m2 could be built on notification. This considerably limited people who dreamed of a large wooden house but did not want to go through the complicated, lengthy and costly formalities of obtaining a building permit. The situation will change with the amendment to the building law under the government's "Polish Deal" programme. Once the changes are introduced, at Drewnolandia we will be building 70 m2 houses on notification.
Before we start building your holiday cabin of up to 70 m2, you will need to complete a short and easy procedure of notifying the county office about the building – simply fill in the appropriate application online or on site. The document must state the type, method and start date of the construction work, and it must be accompanied by a sketch of the holiday cabin.
Our 70 m2 holiday cabins are fully adapted to the standard of houses built on notification:
- every model comes with a complete set of sketches prepared by us for the notification. However, if you would like us to build a 70 m2 wooden holiday cabin based on different sketches, we will gladly prepare a quote and carry out your project,
- holiday cabins of up to 70 m2 have no usable attic, so they do not require a building permit. This does not mean, however, that we are limited to a single storey. Cabins for recreational plots can be fitted with a functional mezzanine, which you can arrange however you wish,
- the ground-floor area of the holiday cabins in the new range, in accordance with the law, does not exceed 70 m2. The non-usable attic space (mezzanine) must, in turn, be smaller than the room in which it is built,
- the span of structural elements in 70 m2 houses built on notification does not exceed 6 metres in width, and the cantilever reach of supports does not exceed 2 metres, which is exactly what the building law regulations specify.
The act is still being processed, but we can already work together – choose one of our holiday cabin models and discover the possibilities offered by an exceptionally spacious living room combined with not just one, but two or three bedrooms and a terrace!
A holiday cabin of up to 70 m2 – simply irreplaceable
Among the various types of 70m2 holiday cabins, meaning those built on recreational plots, a timber-frame wooden house is second to none. The so-called Canadian-style house now has a new look – 70 m2 holiday cabins built on notification are large enough to host weekends, holidays, parties and gatherings for a big group of people. According to the manufacturer's recommendation, Drewnolandia's largest models are designed for eight people, but how you make use of the 70 m2 of space is entirely up to you.
What makes 70 m2 wooden holiday cabins such a beneficial building option for a plot?
- Wood is a material that blends best with the natural environment. The timber-frame structure and wooden finish give the houses not only a charming appearance, but also a idyllic, welcoming and cosy atmosphere that is ideal for family gatherings and get-togethers with friends.
- 70 m2 holiday cabins on notification give you the freedom to decide spontaneously how you want to spend your free time. You can use your own wooden house on any afternoon or weekend when the weather is good and you have no other plans. This gives you great peace of mind – when the fast pace of city life gets overwhelming, you have a getaway where you can feel at ease, because you are at home. This change of scenery is especially appreciated by people who work remotely and can sometimes "move" their office to the holiday cabin.
- Large recreational buildings, i.e. 70 m2 holiday cabins, have two or three bedrooms and a living room that impresses with its size. The rooms can be laid out freely, setting aside a children's room, a guest room, a study and so on. On top of that, we always have a space for spending time together, namely the living room, while everyone still has their own room in which to relax however they like.
- Holiday cabins of up to 70 m2 are also an ideal place to organise a birthday party, a holiday celebration or a gathering for any occasion. If we insulate them, we can even celebrate Christmas or New Year's Eve there! For that you need enough space to fit all your guests. We have such possibilities thanks to the new spacious cabins in Drewnolandia's offer.
- A plot with your own large 70 m2 house built on notification is an excellent way to go away with your four-legged friend. You relax in your wooden retreat, while your pet spends time outdoors in the fresh air. Many breeds need more exercise than we can provide for them in an urban environment. Trips together to the holiday cabin are therefore a chance to burn off excess energy.
Holiday cabins of up to 70 m2 – the Drewnolandia standard
Our 6- or 8-person 70 m2 holiday cabins cost from approx. PLN 100,000. For that price, we will build you a timber-frame wooden house in the closed shell standard. The house features a large living room with a kitchenette, from which you enter two bedrooms and a bathroom. Larger models, in turn, i.e. 70 m2 holiday cabins, have two or three bedrooms, but gain an advantage over other designs with the size of their living room.
At Drewnolandia, the price of 70 m2 houses built on notification includes the following equipment:
- façade boards, wind-barrier membrane and a squared timber frame, which form the structure of the walls, floor and roof,
- shutters and double-glazed PVC windows, which have insulating properties and keep the warmth inside the cabin,
- a wooden door with a cylinder lock,
- wood preservation with two coats of Drewnochron,
- a roof covered with bitumen shingles,
- transport of the cabin throughout the country,
- fast and professional assembly.
Together we also agree on all the details regarding the assembly of optional elements, such as electrical, plumbing and heating installations, which we tailor to your requirements and include in the project. It is best to discuss them at the very beginning of our cooperation, because using holiday cabins without electricity or running water has its charm, but in the long run it is inconvenient.
Durable 70 m2 wooden holiday cabins
Wood is one of the best building materials, which is why our holiday cabins of up to 70 m2 have a number of advantages that, in terms of durability, put them on a par with masonry construction. To build timber-frame houses, we use certified high-grade spruce and pine wood of class C24 and glued KVH timber, kiln-dried. As a result, the walls do not warp or crack.
The Canadian-style house, i.e. a timber-frame cabin, is a compact structure which, thanks to the proper joining of individual elements, will withstand even strong winds and other weather surprises. Moreover, by fitting tightly against the foundation, it remains fully stable, and it can additionally be anchored to it, which is essential, for example, for insuring the cabin.
Holiday cabins of up to 70 m2 – conversion to the all-year standard
Among Drewnolandia's customers are people who are considering moving permanently into a holiday cabin. This does not surprise us – it is hard to give up the unique atmosphere that wooden interiors create, especially when we are dealing with such spacious buildings as 70 m2 holiday cabins.
So if you are considering converting a house built on notification into an all-year cabin of up to 70m2 in the future, where you can relax comfortably regardless of the season, it is worth equipping it with a few elements right from the start. This raises the standard of the holiday cabin, and as we know, in Poland spring and summer can surprise us with low temperatures. We therefore often suggest to our customers insulated flooring, insulated steel exterior doors and PVC windows. The remaining elements, such as the walls or roof, can be insulated on your own, unlike the floor, which can no longer be accessed afterwards. We also encourage you to choose other products from Drewnolandia's offer – garden gazebos, carports, tool sheds, children's playhouses and many more. Visit the Offer tab and find out more!
